It's amazing how much can be accomplished through prayer! (We were wondering how we're ever going to get all our paperwork done, and now we've found out that we don't even need visas - just our passports!)
People who have supported us won't be really encouraged until we make it into Africa. Nobody's encouraged by a job half-done; and those who are prone to quit before the job's done will never be satisfied with their work in the Lord.
They'll never hear His, “Well done, thou good and faithful servant; enter thou into the joy of thy Lord,” until, and unless, it costs them something! If it doesn't cost anything, it isn't really worth anything, is it?
People are skeptical. People want to see results. At the same time, God wants to see results. God wants to see YOU obey that little voice of the Holy Spirit, first. Prove by your works, by your obedience to Jesus, that you have faith, and He will bless your faith. “Faith is the evidence of things not seen!” (Hebrews 11:1) That's the law of faith, real faith!
Part of our job is to pray for YOU, friend - pray that somehow God can get through to you, and that He can use you in great ways, His will to perform! We're praying that you will be faithful in the little things, and that when you are, God will entrust into your care the greater things that pertain to His kingdom! (Luke 16:10-11)
We're praying that you'll obey the voice of the Lord and keep on supporting our efforts until we're in Africa, and doing the will of God there! That's what this is all about! God works through His people! That means, all of us, not just we two!
